Internal alchemy (sometimes also called mental or spiritual alchemy) is an ancient practice that involves a process of inner transformation and liberation to support the path towards ultimate spiritual, mental and physical wellbeing.
Every Tuesday 4.30-5.30pm starting 25/02/25,
Upstairs at Revolution Skatepark and Climbing Centre
Oakwood Industrial Estate, Dane Valley Rd, Broadstairs CT10 3JJ
Our aim is to provide children with a chance to study philosophy, the natural sciences and the ‘innate language’ of art and expression along with personal wellbeing techniques, all from an angle of practical, scientifically supported 'Alchemy' and through a lens that is appropriate, easily understandable and practical for children.
Each session is hosted by experienced educators; Sophie Brown is a primary school and children's yoga teacher with over a decade of experience teaching children. She has recently established Happy Hearts and Minds Children's Yoga, a Thanet-based venture with an aim of making yoga more accessible to children.
Also hosting is Joe Smithson, founder of the Psorcery Project who previously spent several years working as a college lecturer and with children and young people with a range of difficulties accessing mainstream education. He now specialises in teaching 'practical philosophy' to a range of age groups in both regular classes and specialist retreats.
